Today, Wargaming has announced that the new winter game mode Snowball will be added to World of Warplanes. Snowball is a new combat scenario that will be available on December 18th through January 15th and include a battle arena, daily missions, new consumables and custom built aircraft for pilots to enjoy during this years holiday season.
Snowball mode challenges players to eliminate the opposition in standard rules on the Lapland map created exclusively for this mode. The Odin 42M is the only aircraft vehicle that fires snowballs instead of rockets. It comes with 100% trained crew, hangar slot, and is free to all registered players.
During the holiday event, special consumables such as fireworks, sparklers, and smoke flares will be available for players that accomplish specific combat missions and earn achievements. Players that complete the “Happy New Year” mission will be receive the Dornier Do 17Z-7 Kauz warplane.
