GameSamba’s upcoming addition to the Star Trek franchise is set to receive its second wave of closed beta testing this month as Star Trek: Alien Domain nears its release. Stepping away from the traditional RPG and action approaches taken by previous installments in the Star Trek franchise, Stark Trek: Alien Domain is a free-to-play online strategy game that has already enjoyed one successful closed beta event in December and is now approaching its second event that is scheduled to take place on January 15th, beginning 6PM PST.
Star Trek: Alien Domain takes place many years after the events portrayed in the adventures of Captain Janeway and her crew in Star Trek: Voyager. Players will be able to take on the role of either a respected Captain of the Federation or a feared Captain of the Klingon Empire, both trapped in the unexplored realms of Fluidic Space.
