Cognitive Prime became the first ever SMITE World Champions following this weekends record-breaking event, paving the way for a series of exciting videos highlighting a plethora of changes scheduled to release alongside Season 2. During the weekend event developers Hi-Rez Studios released a number of new trailers, highlighting new changes coming with Season 2 from updates to core map mechanics to the addition of new Gods.
Cognitive Prime took the top spot after a 3-2 victory against Titan in a 5 game set, walking away with the biggest prize pool in the history of the MOBA genre – taking home 1.3 million dollars. Following the event DryBear and the team introduced players to new changes with Season 2, more importantly of which is a complete overhaul of the Conquest map – both graphically and mechanically.
