37Games has released a new war trailer for Siegelord focusing on real-time Faction War which turns out to be the most significant aspect of this game. Your first mission is to expand your faction’s territory with the help of friends and allies across the world. Move to different regions on the world map and acquire resources such as gold, recruiting horns, food and other gear from your generals. Set your troops outside of the city walls of any city you wish to besiege. Choose to send all your generals to the same city, or assign them to different cities simultaneously. Victory is determined on how well strategically you spread out your forces and work together with your allies. You’re able to duel with friends or cooperate with them during Siege Battle. These battles occur in cities, fortresses, and on different terrain. Your mission is to occupy them after defeating your enemies. Anybody is able to join the same siege and there’s a unlimited number of participants. Predict the outcome of battle by checking who is on your side and compare the strength of your enemies. You’ll find out if your team is out-numbered, you can deploy phantoms to increase the size of your team. These phantoms are clones and can be released at anytime. They can assist in turning the tide of battle. If you think that the current battle is a lost cause, fall back and wait for an opportunity to counter-attack. Retreating to nearby cities gives players the opportunity to recruit new soldiers, reorganize troops, and to prepare for the next battle. If you see allies in need of assistance, rush to their aid and join the fight. You never know when you may require their help down the road.
