The much anticipated EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next: Landmark are finally out in closed beta. EQN is a free-to-play sandbox MMO that sticks true to the feel of the EverQuest franchise. As the producer mentions in the October “Producer’s Letter”, there are many forms of media surrounding the latest addition to the EverQuest family, including a novella exploring the lore. The lore of EQN is pretty extensive, including 10,000 years of explorable history.
The EQN homepage banner states “There has never before been a game like this,” which is true; EQN incorporates RPG and sandbox elements in a seamless, classical feel, where choice rules destiny. Everything is destructible, making the world more realistic. Players shape the world around them.
