Day 3 has come and with it Group A will get to prove their worth. During the first day of Worlds OMG was dominating, day 3 they continued to uphold their hot streak going 4-0. SKT T1 was able to pull themselves out of their tie 1-1, perhaps it was just a case of the first day jitters? They ended day 3 with a solid 3-1.
OMG and Lemondogs had a close fight, but in the end Lemondogs’ overconfidence gave OMG the opening they needed to push for the win. Things started to look better for Lemondogs at the beginning of their match-up with TSM. After First Blood, another kill a few minutes later and an easy dragon, Lemondogs seemed to be the obvious victor, but TSM weren’t about to give up. Miraculously, TSM turned the game around with their risky aggression and near-death escapes. By 28 minutes, the game was out of Lemondogs’ control. After an unsuccessful gank attempt by Lemondogs, TSM stormed through their opponents base and destroyed the nexus.
TSM’s matchup against SKT T1 did not go as well for TSM. Early aggression got out of hand for SKT T1, so they began to refuse to team fight with TSM. Facing opponents that would not give them the opportunity to prevail in a team fight, TSM fell further behind. SKT T1 began taking objectives. During an fight for Baron, Piglet devoured his opponents earning a quadra kill; this lead to a push for the win by SK T1.
The new guys at worlds, Gaming Gear, are still having a rough time. They were flattened by SKT T1 after the team “got serious”. OMG swept the floor with Gaming Gear as well with a 26 minute victory without losing any of their towers.
