Jagex has earned the reputation of being one of the most successful developers in the free-to-play MMO environment thanks to the huge success of their flagship MMO, RuneScape. One of the elements behind this success is the myriad of events and exciting activities launched each and every year, and this year is no different with the release of Festive Cheer.
This years exciting lineup of events sees players embark on an exciting number of Festive Cheer events including the opportunity to lock blades with the deadly Snowverload boss, combine forces with other players to build a massive Christmas Cracker complete with festive rewards, and even partake in some adrenaline fueled snowboarding.
“The Christmas Fair event was incredibly well received in RuneScape last year, so it’s great to get into the spirit once again with this year’s ‘Festive Cheer’. The development team has been working hard to ensure there’s a mix of activities for players to participate in, not least snowboarding,” said Phil Mansell, vice president of RuneScape. “For some, winter is coming – for the RuneScape community, winter is already here!”
Past Christmas events have seen record numbers of participants exploring the festivities and 2014 will be no different.
