A new challenger is coming to the Free-to-play mobile gaming battlefield. Call of Champions is a MOBA style game where players choose from an extensive roster of unique fighters and engage in fast and furious bouts for prizes and stats.
Created by Spacetime Studios, Call of Champions hopes to get an edge over the competition by focusing all of the intense energy of battles into short 5 minute rounds. The Texas based studio hopes this will encourage more gameplay on the fly, as the quick fight times allow players to get in a few rounds easily, wherever they are.
In order to promote the game and allow players to test their skills, Call of Champions will have a limited release during the World Famous South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, slated for March 13th through 15th. Fans can rate the champions that are available, and battle against game developers themselves to prove their worth. In order to add to the inherent Austin-ness of the event, developers will be fighting remotely from various Austin area landmarks.
