One of the most long-awaited MMO betas for console has finally arrived as Sony Online Entertainment’s award-winning PlanetSide 2 ‘s beta is officially underway. Beginning today, Tuesday January 20th, interested players can visit the official PlanetSide 2 website and register for their chance to be included in the beta event.

The Closed Beta allows us to gain invaluable player feedback, ensuring a heart-pounding, action-packed massive experience at launch.”
The initial wave of closed beta testers will be invited from North American players that applied, with other regions being added to the mix as the beta continues.
