Nexon America, the North American subsidiary of Tokyo-based NEXON Co., LTD. (“Nexon”) (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play (F2P) online games, today announced the launch of a major content update for Dragon Nest, one of their most popular titles.
Beginning today, veteran players who have reached the Max Level (60) will have access to a wide variety of new content, including a new Desert Dragon Nest. The third Dragon Nest in the game, the Desert Dragon Nest gives players a chance to acquire the most advanced gear available in game and also includes three new zones and seven gates. With this new update, players will now be able to explore the Desert Ship, Dry Mirage Garden, Storm Lookout Tower, Desert Dragon Temple, Mushroom Stone Valley as well as several other new locations. This update also brings two new mini games, “Find Ed’s Jar” and “Break the Cactus,” which offer extra rewards.
As part of the new content update, the difficulty level for the five existing Dragon Nests, – Cereberus, Manticore, Apocalypse, Archbishop and Titan – will be increased to lv. 60. Players will be able to pick up new nest rewards, including epic equipment and quality Sparks.
Just in time for Halloween, special holiday-themed costumes, items and rewards will also be available to players based on the amount of time spent in game. Special items include pumpkin heads, a spider decal, devil’s tail, ghost transformation potions and sour apple candy.
Dragon Nest follows the story of a band of adventurers as they battle the corrupt dragons and their followers in order to save Altera, the once pure and beautiful land created by the goddess Althea. Players can join their friends and battle hordes of evil creatures and boss monsters bent on destroying Altera.
