Favorites of Group B, Samsung Ozone has had a rough time, dropping matches to both EU teams. Day 4, they sought revenge. Ozone created their team with an emphasis on poke and siege. Early aggression in the mid lane allowed Ozone to pick up two kills for one; this allowed Dade to have that strong early game, which keeps him a valuable player in the game. Ozone was relentless and demolished Gambit; they were unable to take a single turret during the entire match.
Fnatic continued their hot streak in their match-up with Vulcan. Vulcan’s first blood didn’t turn out too well for them. xPeke’s Ahri teleported down bot to clean up the fight with a double kill. In attempt to keep up with Fnatic’s gold lead, Vulcan fell behind in turrets. During a brutal mid lane team fight, Vulcan was aced due to a hidden YellOwStaR flashing to land a perfect Grasping Roots on the entire Vulcan team, which allowed Fnatic to quickly finish them off. The fight allowed Fnatic to rush Vulcan’s base and end the game at 21 minutes.
After decisive victories in earlier games, Fnatic and Ozone started off in their matchup pretty equal, both attempting to gain the stronger footing. Ozone’s early game earned the a couple easy kills and the first dragon, but they were frequently caught out of position, giving up their advantage. After Fnatic stole Dragon from Ozone, the game started to get out of control for Ozone. After an unfortunate skirmish in the jungle left Ozone in shambles, xPeke secured an Ace with a Quadra Kill. The next team fight was equally as devastating as sOAZ found the opportunity to flank Ozone’s backline. Melting imp’s Ezreal and mauling the rest of Ozone, Fnatic picked up another 4 kills with minimal loss. After a third Quadra Kill, Ozone surrendered the fight.
